IB Ecosystem for Growth & Creating Impact

Inclusive Business - defined as businesses that provide goods, services, and livelihoods to people at the base of the economic pyramid, including them as part of the company’s core business value chain to stimulate more prosperous living through decent work and economic growth. Since ASEAN promoted the Inclusive Business Framework in 2017 as part of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) 2025 Vision, the ASEAN Inclusive Business Summit has been organized to strengthen the centrality of ASEAN while promoting the business shifting to an inclusive approach.

In 2023, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of the Republic of Indonesia, in collaboration with the ASEAN Secretariat, the United Nations ESCAP, and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), hosted the Sixth ASEAN Inclusive Business Summit under the overarching theme of ‘Incentivise Business for Inclusive Growth.’
